Cookies

Which we use

This site sets a small number of first-party cookies for functional reasons. A session cookie keeps track of the language shown when a visitor first arrives so that the choice is remembered across pages. A short-lived cookie is written when a call-to-action button is clicked so that the affiliate identifier can be attached to the outgoing redirect. A consent cookie stores the visitor's answer to the cookie banner so that the banner does not reappear on every page. None of these cookies contain personal data, and none of them are shared with third parties. There are no advertising, tracking, retargeting or analytics cookies set from this domain.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks the browser to store on the visitor's device. When the visitor returns, the browser sends the cookie back to the same website, which allows the site to recognise the visitor across pages or across visits. Cookies are not programs and cannot read files on the device; they are just a piece of text. All modern browsers include settings to view, restrict or delete cookies, either for a specific site or globally. Refusing all cookies is possible; on this site it means the language preference and the cookie-banner acknowledgement will not persist across visits.

Changes

If the set of cookies used by this site changes materially, this page will be updated and the cookie banner will be re-shown to every visitor so that consent can be given again for the new set. Minor technical changes — a renamed cookie, a slightly shorter or longer expiry — will be reflected in this page without a fresh consent prompt.

Affiliate cookies

When a visitor clicks a call-to-action link on this site, the click goes first to our internal `/play/` endpoint, which attaches an affiliate identifier and forwards the visitor to Craybet. Craybet itself may set its own cookies on that visit — a signup-tracking cookie, a game-state cookie, and any other cookies described in its own policy. Those are set by Craybet, on the Craybet domain, and are governed by the Craybet cookie policy rather than this one. If the visitor closes the browser before completing signup, the Craybet cookie normally persists for a limited period (typically thirty days) so that a return visit within that window is still credited to the referring affiliate.
